Well, at least it’s definitely going on my list of favorite books. When people press me to just pick one (it’s SO hard!) I go with Stephen King’s The Stand 99.9% of the time, but in certain circles, Twilight might take over the top spot for a while.
Our main character, Bella, has moved in with her father in the small dreary town of Forks, Washington. She used to live with her mother in sunny Phoenix, AZ, but after her mother remarried, Bella sometimes felt that she was getting in the way. Bella is the kind of girl who doesn’t like to attract attention, but as the new arrival in such a small place, she really can’t help doing just exactly that. Everyone she meets (particularly the boys) seems to be overly friendly, with the notable exception of Edward Cullen. He seems like he’s angry that Bella even exists! He avoids her at all costs and even tries to have himself transferred out of the one class that he and Bella have together. After her first day of school, he doesn’t even show up for weeks! Bella is confused, but she’s also fascinated by this mysterious and incredibly handsome boy.
Edward and his “family” have a big secret. They are vampires. Though they don’t feed on humans, they are still dangerous – especially if humans get too close. The blood of some humans sends vampires over the edge, and there’s something about Bella’s blood that is driving Edward crazy. As Bella and Edward spend time together in and out of school, the danger level for them both gets higher and higher.
This book has SO much to offer! It is a suspenseful, star-crossed romance (although with more BITE than most) and there’s more than a fair amount of action leading up the the exciting conclusion.
Sequels to this book currently include New Moon and Eclipse with a fourth (supposedly from Edward’s point of view) due out next year.
I wholeheartedly recommend this series for grades 7 and up.

hey, it’s me again. i just wanted to say that this book ROCKS! i’ve also read new moon, and recently finished eclipse. there’s a boy in my class who says it’s a chick flick, and you know what i said? “You could not be more WRONG!”
anyone who hasn’t read it should, and anyone who has… spread the word!
lately there is also word of the Twilight movie. producers have picked it up, so look out for vampires coming to your cinema!
TWILIGHT FOREVER!

This book is probably one of the best i`ve ever read I would reccomend this to any of my friends who love to read suspenseful, romantic, and so many more adjectives that that I can`t think of at the moment! Please take my advice and read this book and enjoy every minute you get to read it because it seems that every time you find a good book to read, everyone sees to want to talk to you ALL the time!! It’s sooo annoying!I I know from experience; so if you really need a good book to read after soo many bad ones then read this one, and enjoy it greatly!!

The character I think I most relate to is probably Edward. I think this because I’m kind of mysterious and hard to read sometimes. I also know someone named Bella and someone named Jacob. Plus I lose my temper a lot.
