Cover - Dairy QueenCurrently I have read the book “Dairy Queen”. I absolutely loved this book and could read it many more times!! I would never get tired of it.
D.J., is the daughter of a family, that lives on a dairy farm, she has many responsibilities since her father broke his knee and her brothers are off to college. She is the only one left to keep the farm up and going. She does get picked on because her family isn’t the richest in town, she works on a farm, and she is a little over weight. Football season is just around the corner and the coach is sending a ‘star’ player for D.J. to train. His name is Bryan, the team practically depends on him. He comes everyday and trains until football conditioning/practice begins. D.J. is very responsible and would need the help but is not really looking for a serious relationship with anyone, at the moment. Bryan is a smart-elick for now. He doesn’t like to listen to some girl that is much younger than he is. But, D.J. puts him to work as she is told to do. After a good while, there is becoming a bond. Bryan and his girlfriend break up, and D.J. is starting to feel a little emotion for him. One night, it was just a peaceful night, D.J. got her KISS with a guy who she had started to like and been around many days of the week! She thought she was the luckiest woman alive at that moment. D.J. is very strong and loves to play football. She threw ball with her older brothers that are now in college and then ran after the pass. She may just end up trying out for her schools football team.

I would highly recommend middle school girls reading this book. It shows responsibilities and helping your family or those in need. You feel like you are there working on the farm. If you want to read a wonderful book and can’t put it down, read ‘Dairy Queen’. If you would like to see the trailer that I made for this book, just click here:  Book Trailer – Dairy Queen

There are a lot of sites out there showing book video. BookVideoTV, BookTelevision and of course CSPAN, but I like how BN.com and Reader’s Entertainment TV have specific genre channels and original shows. There’s just more to see and I can be specific in what genre I’m interested in. Anyone else watch online tv?

I recently read this book and thought it was so good! It is very down to earth, and not completely girly like you might expect. I especially suggest the girls read it, but there are parts of it for boys too. If you are a football fan, you will really like it. I’m not a football fan, so I didn’t recognize some of the plays and famous football names, but I still really enjoyed the book.
