In the interest of fairness, I wanted to make sure that EVERYONE got to freely express themselves on the subject of the Twilight Saga. Sometimes it’s really difficult to keep readers from getting ahead of themselves and unintentionally giving away crucial plot details that they’re just postive that everyone already knows about!
That’s why there are two posts this week. Think of it as a blogging cafeteria. You officially have options! Choose which item you want and leave the other behind. If you’re really ambitious and want to consume both, though, you are certainly welcome to do that as well! Comment away!
For the long-term Twilight Saga fans, here’s your query of the week…
I’d like to take a closer look at character development over the course of the Twilight Saga. By that, I mean the way particular characters change throughout the four books. Actually, we can also look at how characters don’t change, as well. That would be the main distinction between characters who are round/dynamic and flat/static, after all.
Whose character develpment (or lack thereof) do you feel to be significant through that books that you have read? Are there characters whom you now like more or less than you did at the beginning of the saga?
Though this thread takes into account that you have read at least through Twilight and possibly a bit beyond, still try to be conscious of the spoiler factor. At the very least, typing the words SPOILER ALERT in capital letters at the beginning of your comment will cause those who haven’t made it to the end of New Moon a reason to scroll away from your post.
Let’s keep up the excellent discussion vibe that we’ve had going lately. I LOVE all the back-and-forth conversation between everyone!

Well the character i think has devolped the most would have to be Jacob Black really BIG change in him between Twilight and New Moon
gose from human to werewolf
Jacob to me went from little second class character that no one cares about thats only in the story three times to Jacob Black the loveable wolf that almost EVERYBODY falls in love with inculding Bella!
He’s become little bitty Jakey to BIG HUMONGO Jacob!!!
Oh and Mrs.Northcutt i was right!!! when i frist started reading Twilight i asked you if Jacob was the werewolf you told me that i’ll just have to keep reading and find out and did!!!!

I’d have to agree with Katlyn.
To me, Jacob makes the greatest change, due to the fact the kid can’t make up his mind.
One minute, he loves Bella to death.
The next he never wants to see her again.
All of this bounces back and fourth through out the last 3 books.
It’d be cool if Jacob could accept that Bella just wants to be friends, but like most real life guys, his ego is too big, and his pride always gets in his way. No one wants to date a werewolf. Yet, he thinks he’s the best at everything, including the best choice for Bella.
Then in Breaking Dawn, he finally makes up his mind when he imprints on Rennesme…and accepts that Bella and Edward are great together…way to go.

I think that one big change that one character has gone through the saga was Jacob. Because he slowly developes a friendship with the Cullens during Eclipes and Breaking Dawn all because of how he feels about Bella. It may look like he still dispises vampires, but I think he can put his trust in them when it comes to Bella and Renesme’s safety! And I agree with you Katelyn M.! I had that same feeling bout Jacob after reading Twilight!
The characters I use to like less but now love? Well, I have to say Jasper an Emment. Because in the beginning of the saga; like Rosalie, they seemed unsure about Bella and just kinda ignored her. But as I read through the other books, I grew to like them more as they began to trust Bella more. But Rosalie, I still don’t like her as much as I did in the beginning! ^^;…

The character I like that Ididn’t like at first would have to be Roselie because in Twilight she hated Bella and she didn’t even know her. Now I see she can be really nice when she wants to be, because in Breaking Dawn she helps Bella with the baby by taking care of it.

I have to agree with Katlyn. Jacob Black is the character that developed the most, in my opinion, after Twilight. In New Moon, you learn so much information about him, and he goes from a character that didn’t matter much to me, and one that I wasn’t sure I liked, to one of my favorite characters and one that was very prominent. Besides the fact that he is part of a werewolf pack, he becomes Bella’s very best friend, and remains so throughout the saga. Jacob is also very important to the story because he continues the conflict more than once. However, no matter how much I like Jacob, I was never on “Team Jacob.” I was rooting Bella and Edward on the whole time!
Another character that grew on me, but I never quite trusted is Rosalie. (Breaking Dawn SPOILER ALERT!!!!) Prior to Bella being pregnant, I wasn’t thrilled with how she treated Bella, even when she shared her history with Bella. She never made the decision to like her, but always had the option to, and she certainly didn’t respect Bella’s decisions. I did understand her more, but never trusted her completely. And then, when Bella became pregnant, I knew why. The fact that she was willing to let Bella die in order to keep the baby, showed me that she didn’t like Bella, but finally respected one of Bella’s decisions. At that point, I wasn’t as angry with Rosalie as I was with Bella for letting herself get treated that way. Rosalie never truly got put in her place like I would have liked, but she was part of the family and so I finally decided to just accept her.

The character that I think stayed the same is Bella because she stays strong by taking up for herself and her family when the Volturi come and she went through all that pain to take care of her baby. Plus she is independent through all the books by taking care of Charlie.

bella has changed a whole lot through out the books. like in twilight she was a little cautious of edward and was dating him.
in breaking dawn she is married to edward and many other things.
like her getting pregnant, having a baby, and becoming immortal.
speaking of immortal someone owes me 1$ for saying she wouldnt become immortal.

Hi, I am Elizabeth and I am only on chapter 8 or 9 and I am not for sure right now but the character so far that I think has developed is Edward, because in the beginning of Twilight he really only talked to Emmett, Jasper, Rosalie, and Alice, but then he started talking and then hung out with Bella and some people like Jessica found that confusing since he only really talked to Emmett, Jasper, Alice, and Rosalie.
I like Edward the most so far but I havent yet read the rest of the saga so I don’t know if any of the characters are my favorite like Edward but I hope to read the rest of the saga soon.

Twilight is a wounderful book. I got started when my friend convinced me to read so when i got the book, i only took but a few days to read it because it was so good i could hardly put it down. The characters i liked most was bella and edward because they both love each other and they hang out alot and even edward waits for bella like they are a married couple. This was one of the greatest books i have read. I hope for the people who are reading this book enjoys it just like i did.

1. it’s a love story, and it has vampires!
2: SPOILER! in the end of BREAKING DAWN, they get to keep renessme.
3: SPOILER! jacob is a werewolf, and there are other werewolves in the story!
4: everything works out at the end of the series
I HOPE THAT THE MOVIES ARE somewhere close to as good as the books, but they probobly WON’T. one thing that sucks is right now, they CAN’T MAKE A BREAKING DAWN MOVIE, i quote stephenie meyer, IT WOULD TAKE TO MOVIES! the reason why is because the book is split into SEPERATE books, like lord of the rings. YOU CAN DO IT CAST AND CREW!

i wasn’t sure what question we are being asked today, for we have a sub. However i will tell you some information on the book twilight! Are class is reading this book, however i have read ahead and am on chapter 22, and so far i have seen a huge plot switch in this thrilling novel! Now many characters involed in this book are in trouble, and must find a way to trick this new and dangerous character! I can’t spoil anything, however i will tell you this character has a certain thrist and it hasn’t been met quite yet :/ ! Please know how hard it is for me not to tell you more however i can”t (spoiler !) ! Wait, I have just found we are supposed to list are least favorite character, for me this is James. I am not so certian i can tell way, however trust me if your’e reading this book, you will feel the same way!

Ok, I am going to comment on two characters. First, I thought that Bella’s character, or at least her actions, undergo a tremendous change. In the beginning of the saga, there is a running plot device in which Edward must continually keep Bella safe from harm. He is her knight in shining armor and always saving her from dangerous situations. But, over the course of the books, we see Bella become more proactive and it ends with Bella being the main person who protects everyone from the Volturri. What a change from the beginning. I was glad for that change. Don’t get me wrong…..I enjoy the classic scenario of the hero saving the girl, but I also like to see a strong female character who can take care of herself and others. After all, we girls can’t always depend on a guy to take care of everything!
Second, I am going to go back to Rosalie. I agree with Mrs. S. I wanted to see someone put Rosalie in her place and it was frustrating when it didn’t happen. Even though Rosalie was one of Bella’s biggest allies during Breaking Dawn, it was for totally selfish motives. I don’t think it would have bothered Rosalie at all if Bella had died during childbirth….in fact, I think it would have given her the one thing she wanted more than anything…the baby. So, I think Rosalie evolved the least.
Again, feel free to argue with me. I WANT to like Rosalie and I would love it if someone could convince me that I am looking at her in the wrong way. I would be willing to concede, if you can give some good arguments.

Right now I think Edward has made the biggest change in a good way. He’s beginning to show Bella his sweet and loving side and I think Bella is feeling more comfortable with that Edward!
At this point I dislike Rosalie Cullen. The way she treats Bella could be considered bullying and that is a big let down for me since she seemed different in the beginning!
Simon I agree with you because Edward became attached so fast I don’t think Bella could comprehend!!

And to answer your question that you posed, I’m not really sure what I would do if I were in Bella’s shoes. Sometimes it’s hard enough trying to get to know someone who is your own age and with whom you share a number of common experiences. Edward has had a LONG time to experience a LOT of the world that Bella hasn’t. The big issue for me is Bella getting married so young. Most people in this day and age don’t get married right after high school anymore. Or right after college. Heck, I just got married last year and I was 31! I can’t imagine feeling like I was ready to make what turned out to be an ETERNAL commitment when I was 18! It was hard enough to figure out where I was going to go to college at that time of my life. Of course, there is the chance that Bella is a bit more mature than I was.
Anyway, I’m not really sure how I’d deal with dating someone who was 100 years older and looked exactly the same age as me. I’d probably start with trying to brush up on my History reading!

i like edward a lot more after i finished breaking dawn.
i loved how he protected bella through every single book, it killed me when he was upset after bruising her (the honey moon part) he didnt want to harm her for anything, and when they found that bella was pregnant he wanted to make sure she was comfortable and got what she needed.
im really excited for edward’s book to come out, if it ever does.
he is an amazing character and i just want to keep learning more and more about him.
and i grew more and more frustrated with rosalie while reading breaking dawn

she just would NOT get off of renesme, she needs to get over the fact that she isnt human, jezz!
i think the only reason she helped bella while she was pregnant because she wanted the baby safe, not bella.

For all of you out there that have read all of the books i’m shore that you will be disapounted when most of the movies are nothing like the books.
I was totaly shoked in the third book when Jacob kisses Bella and thin she gos andtriys to hit him,but insted she brackes her hand. And then tords the end she ask’s him to kiss her and she start’s to kiss him back.
I would have to say that Bella has kind of forgot who she realy is and what she fills.
She relly opens up and comes out of her shell, she start’s to do dangerus things and nover thinks about the consequinses

I think that Alice has developed the most through out the series. When I read Twilight I thought that even though being Edward’s sister made her a main character, I thought she would not be much of help to the other characters but as I progress through the series I discovered that I was wrong. Alice showed that she had what it took to be one of the best loved characters of the series. When I read New Moon, Eclipse and finally Breaking Dawn I thought that Alice had came a long way from where she was. So thus I believe she has developed the most.

The character I now like the most is Edward, because he likes Bella and he is protecting her from danger. Also, I like Bella more because she has opened up to more friends. The character that I still like the least is Rosalie, because she still hasn’t spoken to Bella.

You’re right Katlyn. Rosalie only respected Bella’s decision to keep the baby because she longed for a baby herself. I think if Rosalie had had the choice, she would have taken Renesmee for herself, and not cared much about what happened to Bella, or even Edward. But by the book’s end, I think she really did accept Bella, if for no other reason but that Bella was immortal and she had become a Cullen. Bella had also protected her along with the others against the Volturi. So, Bella really gave her no choice.

SPOILLER ALERT!!!!!!!! in twilight bella runs into an old friend named Jacob Black and he is smaller than bella and in NEW MOON jacob is HUGE!!!!!!! he goes from 5 foot to 6 foot 2!!!!!!!!!,in noew moon when edward leaves bella for 4to5 mothes she is like a zombie!!!!!!! she mopes around and charlie is tired of it until she goes to jacobs alot she is very happy.

My favorite charcter is Edward he has changed alot from the beginning of the book. He is showing more affection for Bella than the begginning of the book. He has also grown more to showing what he really is and his true feeling for Bella.

well this failed the first time so it will a more rushed version of the first…. i don’t like rosalie… she is slefish and greey … willing to do what ever she need to to get what she wants even at the cost of others. i really never like people like her. but i love Jacob some times severing as a character foil to Rosalie in the fourth book he is sweet and pure hearted almost always putting others before him even at the cost of him self… although i really he would have got a hold of him self at the end of the third and begging of the fourth…

It’s kind of hard to tell you my favorite character because, I they all are. But, if I absolutly had to pick one it woulde be…hmm…I can’t choose. Bella is the biggest clutz until her vampiric form. Edward is just so sexy. Emmitt is strong. Rosalie is beautiful. Carlisle has surprised me from the first book by working in the hospital around humans that can start bleeding profusely. Esme…Wow emse is just amazing by putting up with all those other vampires but, she loves them all the same. Reneesme is just so adorable. Jacob is SO weird! I mean look what did in Eclipse! He freakin kissed her!! Well Time to go!

Fantasy is definitely not my genre; however, since many of my students were enthused with the series, I decided to give it a try. Twilight may be fantasy, but it is also a precious love story. The last 50-75 pages of that book may be the most beautifully written literature I have ever read. New Moon is a little slow in the middle, but I’m hanging in there. It’s great to see so many students reading and excited about reading.

my favorite character’s in the story is Bella and Edward. To me edward is the hero and then he is the bad guy. to me i think Bella should fear for here sake cause goin out with someone who is a vampire. at any moment Edward could be kissing her and the next he could be sucking her blood….. the least character in the story that i dont like is jacob, theres just sonething about him that i dont like and something i dont want to like…… but Edward he is gonna be the one that evey one is gonna come to love…………but hey i loved the book anad cant wait till i get the next one…..

I’m a long term fan of the series. I have spent almost two years with these characters getting to know them and love them. they’ve all evolved. But I think the one that evolved the most was Jacob. He grew up more in Breaking Dawn. He learned that his life wasn’t ruled by a treaty or a feud between vampires and werewolves. He learned to accept them and even start friendly relationships with them.
Edward and Bella changed as well. They became adult and stepped up to what they had to do and sacrificed. I loved watching them evolve. I loved it when they got the happy ending they deserved after all these years. They had went through so much together and that shaped them to what they are today.
In the end they all changed and grew in one way or another. I think the way they all grew was they accepted things they thought they’d never accept.

Okay, So I’d have to agree with everyone else who says Jacob. If you think about it he really has come a long way from Twilight to Breaking Dawn. I really agree with Jamie A. All of them have evolved and changed in different ways, but Jacob has the most. He went from thinking everything and everyone was just “superstitious” to being the “superstition” that everyone was talking about. It was also great in Breaking Dawn when he finally looked at Renesmee and finally found the place where he belonged and someone whom he could care for.
Bella also changed a lot too, obviously. She went from human to Vampire. But more than that, she took the role from being the one having to be watched over, and taken care of, to becoming a mother and being able to hold her own in Breaking Dawn.
But in my opinion each and everyone of the characters changed in some way… Each of them changing into their own person.

I believe that it is Bella who has changed the most in the books. First she is just a normal girl who escapes to Forks, but there she finds herself surrounded by an entirely different world. Though she finds herself in this alternate reality of mythical creatures, she learns to cope with the fact that her boyfriend is a blood sucking vampire, and her best friend is a werewolf. She really manages to mature and all the while keeping this huge secret bottled up inside. I believe that is a true developed character.

It only took me a few hours to read Twilight, and only four days to read the whole series. It would’ve been three days if I hadn’t of had to wait to get my hands on New Moon.
I think Stephenie Meyer has done a superb job with her writing. She is an inspiration to me, since I have also been writing a novel series.
Don’t give up Mrs. Meyer! You have too many fans and supporters to do something like that.

I think jacob Has been the most significant person through the saga he has matured so much through the saga not only his attitude but his emotions have changed and gotten better to he learned to take more things into consideration other than himself.
I like Rosalie more now than I did In the begining of the saga I used to not like her because she was so rude towards Bella and was always giving her evil looks all the time but towards the End of the saga she lightened up and started being nicer (maybe It’s merely because of renesmee) but I like her more now than in the begining because she has a better attitude.

I think that Jacob’s personality has stayed the same because he has never stopped caring for Bella. They have an easy relationship and he helped Bella fight through her depression. My thoughts towards Rosalie have changed. In the beginning she was jealous of Bella but now she is friendly with Bella.

Twilight is the best book ever! I finished it in like 4 days and i loved it…when i started reading it i would get depressed when i was almost done because, i didnt want it to end. It was so good, every chance i had i would read, and the book was always with me, in my suitcase-of-a-purse..lol—
I dont read, but when i picked this up i couldnt stop. I felt like i was in the book, once i started reading it, it was like everthing was tuned-out and when i stopped it was like hitting the pause button on a movie. It was just that good. I had heard that the books are always better than the movie, and since i saw the movie, i like them both the same. The book was way more detailed, and was longer, so that you could enjoy the story, but it also had me like…kiss her already!!!…lol–and in the movie Robert Patterson, plays Edward, so i loved that..he is just the hottest!! lol ..but this is the best book i have ever read!!!

I agree with Katlyn about Rosalie and Jacob.
Rosalie could have cared less about Bella, all she cared about was herself (and Emmet of course) and when Nessie was born that was the only thing that made her nice to Bella. no Nessie= still pig-headed Rosalie…..Nessie= nice, er, better Rosalie.
Also, about Jake, he was so alone for most of the book and I’m sure he felt like there was noone for him and that probably hurt. I was so happy when he found Nessie because now he’s not alone and he has someone who will love him forever. I really liked it because he loved Bella and was so sad when she married Edward because then he felt so bad he ran away for a long time. It’s good that everyone seems to beso happy and have their own mate.

I think that Bella has the most character development. Throughout Twilight you can see how she starts to come out of her shell. She really starts to open up. Bella becomes not only trustworthy with Edward, but she becomes brave. Yes she may still be kind of shy and sort of to herself a little,but she is slowly opening up. I like Bella more than I did at first. Part of the reason is because of how she has grown as a character. I admire her in some parts of the book.
I agree with Chelsey. This book is the best book I have ever read. Stephany Meyer did a great job with Twilight, and I’m sure her other books, New Moon; Eclipse; Breaking Dawn, will be just as good.
I agree with Marissa. Edward, no doubt, is my absolute favorite character by far. What I love about Edward is he is so protective and caring.

Hi, my name is Courtney. I just finished “Twilight” about a week ago.
I believe Edward’s character developement has been significant throughout “Twilight”. I think that because he was real quiet and kept to himself in the begining of the book, but by the end of “Twilight” he had really shown his personality (to some people). As the book progresses you keep learning more and more about Edward and his family. So that helps introduce his personality. I just keeps going from there.
In the beginning of “Twilight” I didn’t really like Edward. He was so mean towards Bella. No that I have finished “Twilight” Edward is one of my favorite characters. He is everything a girl would want….I guess (is what some of my friens have told me). Edward is a really cool person once you get to know him.
Michael, I think you REALLY shouldn’t have posted a spoiler. It just encourages people to read your post. Plus, no one wants to know what is going to happen when thay haven’t got that far in the book(s) yet. So please, don’t post a spoiler….anyone.
Marissa, I agree. I could read “Twilight” over and over again. Plus it is a great book for any age group (as long as it’s not an elementary schooler). In order to read this book you would have to like love stories and some action becaise this book is full of it.

I think the character that has so far changed the most is Jacob. Im not just talking about is transformation from human to half werewolf, but also is relationship with Bella has changed and developed. Jacob and Bella’s relationship is … complicated. In twilight I would describe it as … distant. Throughout New Moon however, Jacob becomes a best friend to Bella that she can depend on … her safe harbor as she describes it. By the end of New Moon when the Cullens return I can sense yet another turning point in their relationship. I hope that everything turns out for the best in Eclipse and I am very curious to find out if Bella is changed into a vampire or not.
Jacob has also changed as a person. In twilight Jacob would have done anything to be Bella’s boyfriend. Butttt in New Moon, Jacob begins to accept the fact that for now, him and Bella are just friends and he feels that just being with her is enough.
I cant wait to read Eclipse, I have so many predictions and I am curious to find out if there correct.

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn!!! It was probably my most favorite book in the Twilight saga. There are so many events that happen in it, and there is a lot of suspense.
I don’t want to spoil anything for those of you that have not read it yet, but I will say that thare is about four main events that happen…or at least four different catagories of events. The first, second, and third main events are foreshadowed by Eclipse. The fourth main event happens out of nowhere. You’re just reading the book and all of a sudden something happens that triggers a chain of events that are very suspensful and will have you glued to the book until you are done reading it.

Jasper had to be the most developed character in the end. Twilight-he couldn’t touch Bella, in the end he was in a small hotel room with her(ever so close)
New Moon-he turned into a wild beast(but we still love him)
Eclipse-he helped with his war tactics, told us more about himself, and excepted Bella part of the family(although he only wanted someone weaker in the bloodlust department)
Breaking Dawn-he was all around good(and Alice and him only left for everyones good, thankyouverymuch!)

Hey, I’m reading Breaking Dawn. And Abby im goin to disagree with you i love this book!! But i am glad that Jacob found someone even if he almost gets killed over it. An Alic could have given Bella more clues.
So if i had to chuse my least fave it would be New Moon. Its just so depressing.

For christmas I gave my mother Twilight and she loves it
Also over break I started reading ‘The Host’ by Stephanie Meyer. I was too busy to finish more than about 15ish chapters before break was over , but what I read I liked.
Also, if you’re looking for a new book to read, try ‘Graceling’ by Kristen Cashore.

The book i am reading is called Ex-Rating. It is about three girls named mads, lina and holly. They come up with a website called the dating game. Where they can hook people and see what people put up about people. They get in alot of trouble when they start this website. You have to read it to see what kind of trouble they get in. It is a good book.

I think the person with the least development in this saga is Emmett. He seems to always be that big, goofy, teddy bear. He also knows throughout the book when to be less goofy. I guess at the end of the saga he becomes a little more serious.

hi i”m kala. i think Rosalie’s character has deveoped the most because she starts to open up a little and let bella know that she doesn’t hate her, she doesn’t like Bella’s decision. then by the end of Breaking Dawn she is closer to Bella. so i like her more at the end rather than the beginning of the saga.

the character i think has changed the most through the seriese is jacob, i started not to like him when he tried to kiss bella. that got annoying. jacob went from human to were wolf in new moon and just got bigger from there. bella has been getting more confident through eclipse and breaking dawn, she can stand up for herself more.
i can’t wait til new moon the movie comes out!! ithey kept kristen stewart and rob pattinson, thankfully. i thought they made the perfect people for edward and bella.

Hello, my name is Kacie. I am in Mrs.Martin’s reading class. She came back today! I am so excited. Her baby, Blake, is so adorable. (: Anyways, I am on chapter 14 on Breaking Dawn. It is a fantastic book. The character I feel has develpoed the most over the saga is Bella. In Twilight, Bella was quiet and shy. She didn’t really have a relationship with her father, Charlie. In New Moon, she was fighting to say Edward aftre he had crushed her and left her with Jacob. In Eclipse, she had a battle with Victoria and her newborns. Now, in the last book, she expresses her feelings to Edward in an awkward way, sex. Bella has a thrill of a lifetime when she finds out something that will cahnge her life forver. A baby. But this is not the cute, chubby human child we see regularly ( like Mrs.Martin’s, except her baby is little. not chubby!) , it is a thirsty, life-sucking monster. A half human , half vampire baby. It is sucking the life out of Bella. Will this thing kill her? … or will she have to become a vampire to save her own life? Read Breaking Dawn to find out! Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

Hello Twilight lovers!!
How are you loving this AWESOME series??? I am currently reading Breaking Dawn and “i’m lovin’ it”. But, getting back to the question… I think Rosalie has developed the most character because in Twilight, I was kind of like, “What is her problem???” Now, though, I totally feel for her. She’s definately in my top 5 favorite.

I have to agree with Sarah Wilson when she said Rosalie changed.Rosalie was mean to bella to Bella in the first three books, but in the fourth book she helped bella deal with the baby. I like Rosalie now she seems very nice. I still dont like jacob though .I am glad he didnt like bella in the end of th fourth book. That made me like him a little.

I am done with the whole series but I decided I would read it agian I am now re-reading eclipes I have one chapter left and I had forgotten just how good the book was.During this series I think that Bella changes the most. I’m definately not saying she is the only one that has changed but i think she changed alot!In the first two books bella is more self concious and in eclipse and breaking dawn she kind of shows who she really is to everyone! I think that Rosalie in Eclipse has the most character development. She opens up more to Bella and changes the way she thinks of her. She doesn’t exactly hate her but there is still some tension between them. Yes, I am still team Edward. Jacob is a little annoying. He also got on my nerves when he ignored Bella juxt because Edward came back. I understand that Jacob and Edward will never get along; I know that werewolves and vampires will never be part of the same team, but they should do it for Bella’s sake. I guess even werewolves and vampires aren’t perfect.

I think that Bella’s character has developed the most. In Twilight she was shy and only thinking about Edward. In New Moon she was just doing whatever she felt like doing and hanging out with Jacob more. In Eclipse she realizes what her destiny is and desides what she is doing to do with her life. In the last book, Breaking Dawn, she starts to expand her thinking and becomes the Bella she never thought she would be.
As I got further into the series, I found myself not liking the Jacob character that much anymore. To me it seemed like he kept getting more and more annoying. He would never grasp the concept that Bella and Edward were ment to be together. Instead the wrapped his head aroung him and Bella as a couple.
Rosealie aso changed significantly. She was always so mean to Bella because she was jelous that Bella was human and she was not. But as I got closer and closer to the end of the series, Rosealie opens up some to Bella. I guess she was trying to establish a better relationship with her since Bella and Edward are always going to be together.
I hope that everyone that reads Twilight will read the rest of the series. It really helps explain a lot that happens in the future. It is really interresting.

Hey its me again. after a long rest i just finished breaking dawn and it was Great! I mean all the characters change throughout the book i mean look at Belle. Even Rosilie opens up and Jacob went through changes himself. I have to say my favorite character in all the series is Jacob. in my opion he could beat Eward in any fight(except with his entire coven).
But all good things come to an end. I still can’t belive Belles choice to become a vampire. But her character as a vampire changes her in different ways. But for all you slackers pick up the next Twilight book your on and READ!
So my new question is: WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER?

Hey whats up ! Ihave only read new moon and twilight and the character I think that has gone through a signifcant change would have to be jacob cause with edward gone and all it seems that jacob takes his spot. We get to see a diffrent side of jacob compared to twilight were bella just uses him. Now he has matured alot more and she finds out that edward is not the only one who has a secret. She also thinks she might actually like him more. But once again edward comes back into the picture and jacob is left out again. A character i like more would have to be jacob cause being a werewolf and all, how could you not.

I think Bella’s character has changed alot through out the Twilight series. Like in Twilight Bella’s character started to build. Then in new moon when Edward left Bella’s character kinda started to like drop. Then in Eclips it starts to rise or build again. It was like a character development roller coaster. First Bella’s character went up a hill then it went down a big hill bringing her underground. Now on the roller coaster she is starting to go up another hill. I think bellas roller coaster character development makes the books more entertaining in my personal opinion. I know like Bella more now that her character is going to build again.
I also kinda like Jacob a little less just because he is always talking bad about what he calls the blood suckers. But he is refering to the cullens. I understand that jacobs kind (Warewolfs) and edwards kind (Vampires) don’t get along but he doesn’t have to be hating on them all the time.
