Hello again! One of my favorite new toys in the world is a website called Animoto. It is a web-based site that allows you to create really cool videos and one of the best things about it is that you can make 30-second videos for FREE! Just upload your images, pick some music and it’s INSTANT coolness! You should DEFINITELY try it out yourself. You can even make nifty Valentine videos for a limited time!

To learn how to use this nifty tool myself, I decided to create a video that would perhaps give you some ideas for what to read AFTER Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight or its sequels. I know that quite a few of you really enjoyed that book and there’s no reason to stop reading just because you finished that one!

SO, check out my video and let me know which ones of these look the coolest! Or if YOU have read some of these books, then share with other readers which ones they should go for FIRST!

I was out there with the super-fans at Lexington’s Joseph-Beth Booksellers late in the night on August 1st to get my hands on Stephenie Meyer’s finale to the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn.

I’m glad it was released on a Friday! I buckled down and by Monday morning I had read the entire book. Though I’m terribly sad to see this narrative come to a close, I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book thoroughly. I was surprised at times with what we got to find out about the characters and I thought Meyer did a great job with pacing the story so that I hardly ever wanted to put the book down. I know that I fell asleep face-first in its pages at least twice because I was trying to find out what would happen next!

It’s called Avalon High. This book contains loads of adventure.. i was on the edge the WHOLE time!

Alright the main characters name is Ellie.. Her parents are professors. When she had to move she spent most of her time floating in the pool at her new house! One day Ellie and her dad went running. While doing so she saw the guy of her dreams.. this is where Will comes in!! Later on it’s time for school to start.. (Avalon High) and what do you know.. Will goes to school there. And he’s the most gorgeous popular guy there! Lucky her (ellie) she keeps running into him. One day after school she finds Will standing at the end of her pool. That’s where it begins. She keeps spending time with him, until she finds herself at a party at Will’s house after a football game. At this party Ellie receives a HUGE surprise. She is going into a room and walks in on Will’s girlfriend and Will’s best friend MAKING OUT!! so she sees Will coming and quickly takes him elsewhere. As Will and Ellie talk.. they’re on the verge of a kiss… when all of a sudden Will’s stepbrother Marco interrupts telling him that his girlfriend’s car is blocking someone else’s. He goes to find her.. but Ellie has to stop him from seeing. Luckily she does.

The next day Will, Marco, Jennifer, Lance, & Ellie go sailing. That’s when it all comes out. Marco is being stupid and makes a kid from another boat fall into the ocean, but he doesn’t come back up. So Will jumps in to save him. When Will is on the boat once again a fight erupts. Will finds out about Jennifer & Lance. Will wasn’t surprised. Later Ellie finds Will at her house once more. Later Ellie starts thinking, her whole life is based on the story “The Lady Of Shalott” & oh yeah she along with the others are the reincarnation of the Arthurian legends. The story goes that King Arthur is murdered by his brother. Get this – turns out Will’s real name is Arthur William Wagner… King Arthur ring a bell? If you want to know what happens next, you’ll have to read it!

This book is full of suspense, romance and action. I must say this was by far the best book i’ve ever read. I strongly recommend it for anyone!

Well, at least it’s definitely going on my list of favorite books. When people press me to just pick one (it’s SO hard!) I go with Stephen King’s The Stand 99.9% of the time, but in certain circles, Twilight might take over the top spot for a while.

Our main character, Bella, has moved in with her father in the small dreary town of Forks, Washington. She used to live with her mother in sunny Phoenix, AZ, but after her mother remarried, Bella sometimes felt that she was getting in the way. Bella is the kind of girl who doesn’t like to attract attention, but as the new arrival in such a small place, she really can’t help doing just exactly that. Everyone she meets (particularly the boys) seems to be overly friendly, with the notable exception of Edward Cullen. He seems like he’s angry that Bella even exists! He avoids her at all costs and even tries to have himself transferred out of the one class that he and Bella have together. After her first day of school, he doesn’t even show up for weeks! Bella is confused, but she’s also fascinated by this mysterious and incredibly handsome boy.

Edward and his “family” have a big secret. They are vampires. Though they don’t feed on humans, they are still dangerous – especially if humans get too close. The blood of some humans sends vampires over the edge, and there’s something about Bella’s blood that is driving Edward crazy. As Bella and Edward spend time together in and out of school, the danger level for them both gets higher and higher.

This book has SO much to offer! It is a suspenseful, star-crossed romance (although with more BITE than most) and there’s more than a fair amount of action leading up the the exciting conclusion.

Sequels to this book currently include New Moon and Eclipse with a fourth (supposedly from Edward’s point of view) due out next year.

I wholeheartedly recommend this series for grades 7 and up.
